Has anyone had any experience configuring BLAT to Web Apollo?

Web Apollo uses BLAT as a sequence search tool, however although my BLAT binary seems to be working when I perform a search locally, when I try and use the feature on Web Apollo it doesn't seem to be connecting.

I'm on a Linux Mint 17.3 OS.

Wondering if anyone has any experience in this and can impart their wisdom please?

(attached are my network developer tab screenshots if it helps)

Thank you

Hi Morgaine,

Thank you for your question about BLAT.

I would recommend reading the Web Apollo documentation about enabling BLAT within their program: http://gmod.org/wiki/WebApollo_Installation#Blat. This Biostars question may also provide some useful information: https://www.biostars.org/p/242777/. I'm not sure that we can provide much more help troubleshooting issues with Web Apollo as it's not one of our tools, so if you have more issues setting up or configuring Web Apollo, I would recommend contacting the creators or asking your questions on a more general bioinformatics forum such as Biostars.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible Google Groups forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
