Hi,

I would like to add a session shared by one of my colleagues to my own session list at http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgSession. However, it seems that I can load my colleague's session, but I cannot add it to my existing session list under Session Management. Could you please help? Thanks!

Best regards,

Julie

Hi Julie,

Thank you for your question about saving another users session to your
own session list. After loading your colleague's session, you can then
navigate to My Data->My sessions (or use the 'ss' keyboard shortcut),
and save your own version of the session, and it should then show up
in your session list.

If you have many sessions saved already, you can sort by the "created
on" field in order to see your most recently created session, and
load/share from there.

Please also note that sessions do not expire, and thus the url to your
colleague's session will be valid until they explicitly unshare/delete
it.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Thank you again for your inquiry and using the UCSC Genome Browser. If
you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu.
