Hi,

I am one of the Clinical Analysts at the Division of Genomic Diagnostics and also responsible for clinical pipeline operations involving SNP Arrays. I am trying to download an updated version of the genome annotation file called refSeqSummary.txt for the hg19 Human build and I cannot seem to find it on the Genome Browser annotation data page. The file is used in the illumina GenomeStudio software to display gene information like function or disease linkage. I have attached an excerpt of an older version of the file I have that works with the software and I am looking to update the annotations to their current form. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Best,

Dear Adam,

Thank you for using the UCSC Genome Browser and your question about the location of our refSeqSummary file.

The refSeqSummary table has recently moved to a shared database called hgFixed. Please see this page for more information:

Thank you again for your inquiry and using the UCSC Genome Browser. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
