Dear USCS Team!

I downloaded ‘rheMac8’ sql database by this command:   rsync -av rsync://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/mysql/rheMac8/ ./rheMac8/
When I do search by gene names or open “Other RefSeq” in “full” I’m getting this errors
  • Can't start query:
    select organism.name from gbCdnaInfo,organism where gbCdnaInfo.acc = 'NM_207242' and gbCdnaInfo.organism = organism.id
  • mySQL error 1146: Table 'rheMac8.gbCdnaInfo' doesn't exist (profile=, host=localhost, db=rheMac8)
I’ve checked mysql’s downloaded database rheMac8 and indeed there is no gbCdnaInfo table exists is it available for download or where I can get this table?

Thanks,
Andrey

Hello Andrey,

Thank you for
using the UCSC Genome Browser and for submitting
your question. We recently moved the location of metadata tables such as gbCdnaInfo to one global database: hgFixed. Please see this FAQ for more details:

You may need to update your CGIs or populate your rheMac8 with all of the GenBank metatables from hgFixed.
Please respond to this list if you have further questions!

Thank you again for your inquiry and for using the UCSC Genome Browser.
