UCSC vs NCBI reference sequcence

Hello ,

Does UCSC use same reference gene sequence that NCBI has?

Hello Varsha,

Thank you for your question. I assume you are referring to the UCSC Genes track. You can read more about how this track was generated on the description page found here (see Methods section): http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg38&g=knownGene. In general, you can get more information for any of our tracks by clicking on the blue track name, by clicking on the thin grey mini-button directly to the left of the track in the browser display, or by clicking on track item and scrolling down to the "Description" section.
