Dear UGB Team-

Hope all is well.

I am getting this error with my GBIB installation on a Ubuntu 16.0.4 machine with 40GB RAM and 2TB HDD.

Couldn't connect to database mm10 on genome-euro-mysql.soe.ucsc.edu as genomep.
Can't connect to MySQL server on 'genome-euro-mysql.soe.ucsc.edu' (110)

I am in Texas. Using GBIB with all default settings. Still confused with why the mysql is pointing to Europe instead of California.

Can you please share your comments? Thanks - G

Hi Gokhul,

Thank you for your question about your GBiB connecting to the European
MySQL server. A bug in the GBiB update script was causing GBiB's to
use the European download server instead of the US server. The script
has been fixed, and your GBiB should restore itself to use the correct
MySQL server automatically.

Thanks!
