The Genome Reference Consortium has released many alternate haplotypes as part of the most recent human genome assembly, hg38 (GRCh38).
Our new video tutorial, http://bit.ly/ucscAlts, shows how to use the Genome Browser's Multi-Region viewing mode to substitute these sequences, along with their annotations, into the main chromosomes. Thanks to David Gibson for technical production assistance.
