Dear UCSC Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am encountering an issue while trying to connect to the JASPAR TFBS track hub on your website. Here are the steps I followed:
However, when I attempt to connect, I receive the following error message:
ERROR: Error in TCP non-blocking connect() 111 - Connection refused. Host expdata.cmmt.ubc.ca IP 137.82.44.19 port 80. Couldn't open http://expdata.cmmt.ubc.ca/JASPAR/UCSC_tracks/hub.txt
The URL I am using is: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgHubConnect?hubCheckUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fexpdata.cmmt.ubc.ca%2FJASPAR%2FUCSC_tracks%2Fhub.txt&hgsid=2452009131_NadIdXTbzXkiB0aYUegEYEGr8Eaa
It appears that the connection to the server expdata.cmmt.ubc.ca is being refused, and I am unable to access the track hub.
Could you kindly advise on how I can resolve this issue or if there are any steps I can take to connect successfully?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hello,
Thank you for using the UCSC Genome Browser and reporting your issues.
Unfortunately, it appears that the external site hosting the JASPAR TFBS track hub is down at the moment. We do not maintain this server, so we cannot do anything on our side to remedy the issue. You can contact Oriol Fornes at JASPAR to see how long the hub will be unavailable:
We do have native JASPAR TFBS tracks for hg19, hg38, mm10, and mm39:
hg38: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg38&postion=default&g=jaspar
hg19: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg19&postion=default&g=jaspar
mm10: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=mm10&postion=default&g=jaspar
mm39: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=mm39&postion=default&g=jaspar
I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu.
