Subject: SOAFEE Cloud Native Tooling WG : Compiler Topics

Hi Luke/Thomas,

Hope you are doing well. I wanted to introduce you to @Peterson Quadros who is responsible for compiler tech within Arm which includes safety compiler along with other things. As part of the overall tooling strategy , as you would agree safety compiler is going to be a key component and @Peterson Quadros will contribute into the  Cloud Native Tooling WG bringing his extensive compiler related technology experience  and have certain compiler related topic to bring into the WG for further discussions.

Hi Peterson,

Let me introduce you to Luke @ Aws who is the Cloud Native Tooling WG lead and Thomas @ Woven who is his partner in crime closely supporting to raise the tooling WG. Thomas works closely with JFB@Woven for context. I will let you sync up with Luke/Thomas to see how we can bring in the compiler related discussion into the Soafee SIG.

Hi Peterson,

Nice to meet you. Glad to have you on board, seems like you will have a lot of valuable experience to contribute!

Be sure to join the #cloud-native-tools slack channel as well.

At the moment we’ve been working on supporting the system architecture and TSC WG contribution frameworks but plan to have separate cloud native tooling WG meetings once the larger topics develop.

-Luke

Hi Luke, Thomas et all,

@Harvey, Luke, Nice to meet you again. We did cross path briefly when you were putting together the SOAFEE demo for Arm’s DevSummit last October.

@Thomas Kuehbeck (TRI), Nice to meet you too. I have had multiple exchanges with JF Bastien and Paul Sastrasinh about compiler toolchains and this as initiated some internal discussions on how we produce compilers and enable the OSS toolchains for Arm.

Sorry for the delayed response, I am going on vacation from tomorrow for the next 2 weeks and have been really trying to tie up all loose ends before I leave.

Nevertheless, let’s reconvene when I am back in the office. I will drop you line first week of June, and we can arrange a call for a quick intro and initiate discussions.

Best regards,

Peterson
