Dear friends and colleagues,
A PhD position is available in the area of artificial intelligence/edge compute for future power systems with high penetration of renewable energy sources. In particular, the research includes the application of AI to predict renewable energy production and prosumers consumption patterns, as well as to develop AI and optimization techniques for renewable energy trading on edge/cloud platforms. The research project is conducted in collaboration between the Distributed Systems and Communications (DISCO) research group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the Electrical power systems at the Department of Engineering and Physics at Karlstad University, and Glava Energy Center. The student should have a strong background and interest in Machine Learning, Optimization, Edge/Cloud Compute Platforms.
