Nominating Rudraksh Pareek as a Meshery Maintainer, CI

Meshery and Layer5 Community:

I hereby nominate Rudraksh Pareek for the role of Meshery Maintainer, CI. Having joined the Layer5 Community in March 2021, Rudraksh has been instrumental in the adoption of MeshKit's error code utility, the integration of Meshery with the SMI and SMP initiatives, and a litany of other aspects of Meshery and its components.

With 94 issues raised and 51pull requests merged, Rudraksh has made a fine mesh of things across:

• Meshery Server
• Meshery CLI
• Meshery Docs
• Meshery Adapters (specifically OSM, NGINX, Istio, Linkerd, Traefik Mesh, and NSM)
• Created GitHub Action for SMI Conformance
• Created GitHub Action for SMP
• Meshery Cloud
• MeshKit
• Meshery Extensions
• Meshery Operator
• Meshery Adapter Library
• WASM Filters
• Discuss Forum

Rudraksh has consistently demonstrated his ability and his willingness to significantly and positively impact both our projects and individuals within our community. Being a maintainer in the Layer5 Community means more than being a consistent and impactful contributor, but also means being thoughtful of other community members, giving of your time with a pay-it-forward mentality. As you do, know that Rudraksh like other Layer5 maintainers here, Rudraksh holds my confidence as an individual having the most earnest of intentions toward Layer5’s mission of industry-leading projects and a community culture coveted by others’.
 

On the subject of community, I’ll take this opportunity to remind on the importance of embracing diversity and being accommodating to individuals of all stages of seniority in the Layer5 Community. Our community mission that of providing “warm and welcoming” fellowship with other open source folk, engaging each person as the individual they are, not as any of the social identity groups they might represent.
