Dear SMART Community

There is a feature in SMART to import SMART Mobile Data from file (as JSON File)

Field Data à SMART Mobile à Import à Import from File.

When I try import JSON File with 69MB size, there is error parsing.
But when I change RAM Consumption from default (1MB to 8MB) I can import that file.

My question is How big the maximum of JSON file (from SMART Mobile) to import to SMART Desktop with default RAM Consumption?

Is there any possibility to split big file of JSON into several file JSON file to speed up the data transfer?

Regards

Hi Lili,

The export does split files up when they get bigger than about 70MB. We can look at tuning the number if it makes a big difference to import performance.

Cheers,

Hi Justin

Do you mean the JSON File will be split into several file if larger than 70MB? And store that file into SMARTData folder (on smartphone)?

How do we know that split JSON file? Is there any specific name for that splitting file?

Because my position far away from my team, so they upload JSON File into Google drive (or by Whatspp when smaller than 100MB).

Note: I used Cybertracker from google playsore (with SMART Mobile inside it)

Hi Lili,

Yes, the files will be suffixed -0001.json, -0002.json, etc.

Cheers,

Sorry, I am not following.

You can import directly from the device or you can copy the JSON files from the SMARTData folder and import those. Technically it is the same thing.

Are you finding that the copy is very slow?
