Hi all,

See below an invitation to participate in the annual WILDLABS State of Conservation Technology survey. We're looking for input from anyone working with conservation technologies anywhere in the world, including this SMART community. The aim of this work is to capture and synthesize progress in this space, as well as identify common constraints and opportunities for advancing the field.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share it widely throughout your networks! The broader diversity of individuals we reach, the better we can capture where conservation technology efforts stand and what support is needed.

Thanks so much for your help and apologies for cross-posting.

Best,
Talia Speaker

The State of Conservation Technology Survey 2021

Dear Community,

Take the WILDLABS State of Conservation Technology Survey 2021

In 2020, WILDLABS partnered with researchers at Colorado State University to evolve our annual survey into a comprehensive assessment of the State of Conservation Technology

Our work - which included convening focus groups with 50 leading experts to triangulate findings - has been accepted for publication with Conservation Biology, and will be available in the coming weeks. Alongside our academic publication, we will also be launching a public web report, which will allow you to explore more of the rich data that the community has helped us collate through this work.

Our goal now is to build from our 2020 baseline and collect a longitudinal dataset that tracks trends in the rapidly evolving conservation technology sector.

To do this, we need your help.

Please take a few minutes to complete this year's survey and share it widely throughout your networks - the broader diversity of individuals we reach, the better we can capture where the field stands and what is needed.

Take the Survey

In this survey, we'll be asking for your thoughts on the technologies you work with, as well as broader questions on challenges facing the conservation technology ecosystem and opportunities for addressing them. We have also added a few questions to help us better capture what the conservation tech market looks like.

As always, this survey is also your opportunity to tell us about your experiences engaging with the WILDLABS community. We want to know what aspects of our platform and programming you find valuable, how they contribute to your work, and what you would like to see us prioritize for the future.

The survey is designed to take about 15 minutes to complete. Please keep in mind that your participation is voluntary and that your responses will remain confidential. Follow this link to access the survey and consent information, and let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your help!
