need some assistance in calculating board feet in reports

Good morning,

I am currently trying to find out, how to calculate the total board feet using smart. But I can't manage to get it. Would like for some guidance in to how to incorporate it using the report section. the formulas we are using are: 

Calculating BDFT of log

Small end + large End/2 = average

Average * average * lenght * 0.005454 = cubic ft

Cubic ft * 6.25 = Board ft

Lumber : T*W*L/12 = BDFT

Hi Jafet,

You would need to add some calculated columns on your report. 

Column 1 = Small end + large End/2 = average

Columnt2 = Average * average * length * 0.005454 = cubic 

and Column3 =Cubic ft * 6.25 = Board ft

Is your latest data set in Connect, i can take a look and see what i can do for you. Question. YOu have Average*Average* Lenght*0.05454.

Is that correct? do you use average twice?
