Basemap features not displaying in SMART Connect

Hello folks,

I'm finding that inclusion of some shapefile layers in my basemap in SMART Desktop is resulting in the whole basemap failing to display in Connect. Are there some limits that Connect has for basemap layers? The layer concerned is a drainage network so has quite a lot of features in it (770 lines, many more nodes). Perhaps there is a limit for features, or nodes?

The layer appears on the basemap on SMART Mobile fine. It just seems to be the Connect site that can't handle it.

Hi Jeremy, 

Sorry, there is a known issue with the basemap feature (affecting some layers) in SMART 7.4 which will be resolved in the final release version of SMART 7. 

I'd advise, for the time being, until you're able to upgrade to the new version, to remove the layer causing the issue for displaying on Connect.

Hi all

One potential work around is to export the base map from smart as a getting, then import that file and use it as the single layer in a new baseman that is used just for the mobile map.
