Hi,

I was wondering if someone could clarify something for me.

I have set up a configurable model to send upadates and alerts to SMART connect.
After finishing a patrol I now have the option to "export data".
When I do this the data ends up on SMART Connect webserver in the data queue.

I see that this is a list of way points or observations - but not a single patrol file.
If I set the files to "completed" I do not really see that anything happens (i.e. the patrol is not added to the database).

What exactly can I do at this point? Is it possible to get the patrol added to the database? Or is Mobile Export mainly about getting alerts (that is working for me now). I can still import that patrols normally so the data is still on the phone after selecting "export data".

Thanks in advance
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

To process patrol data go to the connect tab in SMART, select view processing data queue and select process all. This will process the data from the SMART Connect data queue and import as patrols or incidents depending on how the data was collected. After import check your patrols / incidents using the patrol / incident tabs.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alexander,
Unfortunately I don't see the  view processing data queue in the connect tab on the SMART Desktop (This is SMART 6.3 using SMART Mobile build 320, I forgot to mention that before). As far as I can see I only have access to the data on the SMART Connect server on a webbrowser or browser in the SMART Desktop. But I cannot figure out how to import the data to the database.
Cheers
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Please check you have the SMART Connect plugin installed and that the credentials you're using to login to the SMART system has sufficient access rights.

You can refer to the SMART Technical Training manual (Module 13) for further details on the connect plugin and page 199 for SMART user level permissions.

Cheers,

Alex
