Editing Waypoints in SMART Mobile with Connect

Hi All,

Is there anyway to allow editing of past observations with SMART Mobile when it is connected to a Connect server? Even if only for observations that haven't yet been sent to the server?

At the moment I cannot see a way to set up a SMART mobile device to be able to manually upload data to the server, without using the auto upload feature either.

Hi Julien,

If you have SMART Connect and want to use SMART Mobile, but you still want to manually upload your data into SMART rather than sending it through Connect, you can just turn off the SMART Connect settings in your data model configuration. This will allow you to manually import your data into SMART desktop using a connected device, and it can then be uploaded to SMART Connect and synced from the desktop. You can't do the manual import if you have the device configured to send in data through SMART Connect. If instead you still want to send data directly in through SMART Connect, but only want to do it on demand rather than automatically at intervals, you could turn off the wireless/cellular connectivity on the mobile device until you're ready to send the data to Connect.

To allow editing of observations that haven't yet been imported to SMART (either manually or through Connect), you need to make sure 'Disable Editing' is not checked in your CyberTracker Profile:

When viewing an observation or incident for the current patrol in the History, you should see an edit icon in the upper right that will allow you to make changes.
