It's time to explore what some of the area SW of PDX has to offer! Another diverse route, with some urban transfer roads, rural secondary highways, and quite, bucolic gravel farm roads. Enough climbing to keep you honest, and a few twisty connectors to keep you on your toes. This should be a good one!
Starting in Lake Oswego, the first 12 miles get us out of town and into the countryside. We then make our way into wine country, passing numerous wineries, through Carlton, and finally onto some legit gravel farm roads! After a quick stop in Gaston for calories, it's a solid climb over Chehalem Ridge, a few more gravel sectors, then back east through Farmington, Tigard, eventually into Lake Oswego with a final gravel climb for good measure!
Be prepared for wet and cold conditions. Fenders are HIGHY encouraged, for the sake of your fellow riders! Conversational pace, pre-season training camp vibes.
