Hey discuss list,

Festival chair Mark Jenkins here offering a follow-up here with more details.

First, our festival is being greatly enhanced by our gold sponsor
GlitchSecure this year. If you run into Jade (aka GlitchWitch) at the
event, offer your thanks!

We now have a talk schedule for Saturday May 3
10:00 -- doors
10:15 -- Bitcoin hardware wallet tricks for the no-coiner -- Mark Jenkins
11:30 -- Introduction to amateur radio -- Alex Weber VA4ALW
12:45 -- An old lady's guide to PC gaming on a budget -- Siusan Hample
1:30pm -- A catered lunch
2:15pm -- Freely Developing for Retro: Gameboy Game Creation with GB
Studio -- Aaron P
3:30pm -- The new Skullspace sound and light systems -- Dave
4:45pm -- Controlling Reykjavík's Street Lights -- David Berman

Followed by a dry reception with pre-baked DJ sets.

Most people won't want to watch talks all day or would appreciate
things to look at between talks. There will be some chill exhibits,
workshops, and gaming content for our lounge and workshop areas.

Exhibits
* 3D printer demonstrations
* Surveying and Radiolocation
* Raspberry Pi fun with Easy Buttons

Workshops
* Sat 3:30pm Hands on with music trackers -- Aaron P

Gaming
* Saturday 2:30pm Board game Subway Squeeze -- Sara
* Sunday 3pm Super Smash Bros event
* TBA Chess
* TBA Magic The Gathering Commander Format

We could still use more volunteers to put together additional chill
content. Limited honouria available. These things can also happen
spontaneously at our festival, but it helps when we can share the word
in advance.

----------

In-kind or cash sponsors are still welcome, but reach out ASAP.

Silver ($500) and Bronze ($200) sponsorship comes with digital
recognition, including our between-talks carousel.

-----------

Other volunteer opportunities:
* Tuesday April 29 at 7pm, last organizing meeting
* Wednesday April 30, 6pm -- cleanup night #1
* Thursday May 1, 7pm -- cleanup night #2

I could also use a deputy talks person. First and foremost, this
person would ensure the show went on if anything were to make me
unavailable.

More likely, a talks deputy would be there the entire day to Saturday
May 3 in the classroom to help me greet speakers and other visitors.

Looking forward to seeing people.

Happy Hacking
