After recently posts (on the Winnipeg Amateur radio club FB page), I thought to make a listing of less-known Winnipeg amateur radio / tech related stores.

*This is assuming that everyone already knows
-Tip Top Active for electronic supplies
-Prairie Mobile for radio towers / RF parts
-Memory Express / Itech Systems for PC parts in the West / East of town, respectively.

*Less-specialized stores sometimes have "cheap" Ethernet cat5e / cat6 bulk cable spools - please do not buy such until you have looked up how to identify "fake" / CCA cable.

-21st Century: has "installer" supplies like roof tripods, ground masts, boxes of RG6 / outdoor Ethernet cable, security cameras, cable clips etc. Good prices, their website says that they wholesale to installer businesses only, but just stop in and have a conversation...

-Bianca Amor's - mostly a smorgasbord of discounted clothes and housewares, but they have 1-2 aisles of tools.

-Dollarama - only included for their $4 powerbars / 6ft grounded extension cords, available at certain locations. I have bought enough of those to fill a bathtub.

-EyeSee security cameras: has some WiFi antennas, coax  cable assemblies / adapters in addition to OTA TV antennas and general PC supplies etc.

-Manitoba Battery or Canadian NRG: often have better prices than BatteryMan, especially if you make larger purchases or have a corporate account.

-Micro-Hitech: for the new people, this long-time store is likely the top source of ham radio equipment in the city

-Mother Earth Recycling: the successor to Syrotech, has random recycled PC / electronics hardware. Often good deals on older but still usable and good quality PCs: you can buy a nice basic desktop incl monitor for $170 if you do some research or get chatting with Jeff.

-Princess Auto surplus section: sometimes some deals here on Ethernet cables, home electronics, tools, etc.
