Hey all, I haven't been keeping up sending these notes out every month. I'll be sending the last two months' notes after this one.
Meeting held 2025-08-26
* Introductions!
* New things!
* Laser cutter is now sitting out for people to look at. Its in the new workspace area at the back
* We're blocked from using it until we can vent the waste from cutting
* The ventilation is waiting on heritage status on the windows before we make changes
* Air conditioner is still not draining. Plans are in place to replaced the clogged elbow
* Water cooler has been freezing, Michael has adjusted the thermostat and seems to be better
* Projects?
* Air conditioner adventure, if someone would like to help reach out to Jade
* Jonathan is refurbishing a DVD drive. Drive doesn't like to open
* Thor CNC projects have been happening. Made a guitar stencil. Could use help with PDF path
* Edwin is working on making a case for random electronic parts for a kiln retrofit
* Jade wants help replacing the power supply in SkullTris game
* Events
* Next antisocial party is Nuit Blanche (September 27th!)
* Call for arts! Visual, auditory, performance!
* House music!
* Movie nights!
* This month happened - Politically "active" theme
* Canadian Bacon!

* Secret movie is a secret

* This month was around DDoS attacks and ways companies mitigate them (hardware, software, infrastructure)

* Next one has a guest speaker! September 19th!
* Financials
* Number go down. Difference of -$545.75
* Total value $6,775.53 (still highest in years)
* Membership: 46 full members, 3 students
* The electrical was estimated previous months, the air conditioning has increased spend a few hundred dollars
* An additional ~$400 for snack donations
* QuickBooks cutover to Kim has not happened yet (blocked on Edwin forgetting to send the report)
