Hello everyone,

Notice is hereby given that the SkullSpace Annual General Meeting[1] has been called for Tuesday February 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM CST, to be held at SkullSpace on the 2nd floor of 374 Donald St. We'll order some pizza, too, so come on down.

Please read the Bylaws if you have any questions relating to the election, or process for bylaw amendments [2]. Members in good standing are eligible to vote, either in person, or by proxy, on any bylaw proposals, and in the election of a new board of directors. Bylaw proposals must be submitted to the board no later than February 4th. They will be published in accordance with our bylaws 21 days prior to the vote.

Members in good standing who live in Manitoba have up until the meeting itself to submit their name to run in the board election. The SkullSpace board is made of up to 5 members, elected by the membership.

Please let us know if you'd like to run for the board this year. Ideally we could have everyone introduce themselves before the day arrives. I didn't confirm, but I think Edwin, Amanda, Thor, and Michael will all run for re-election. Look forward to an email from Mark J, who has indicated he'll help with the elections this year.

Regards,
Michael

Thanks Michael,

I will act once again as the election officer. If an election is
necessary I am sticking with the lower effort 2024 approach which
superseded the old "emailing of codes" approach. (way too much work!)

Verifiable members who are physically present at the meeting will
receive regular ballots. Members who are not present may delegate
proxies.

Authorized proxies may fill out specially marked provisional ballots
which will be sealed into individual envelopes naming the proxy and
grantor on the envelope. Provisional ballot envelopes will be opened
after the authorization of proxies is verified and then added to the
mix and counted. (But if everyone appoints the same proxy I'll know
who they voted for!)

Members delegating proxies will have 48 hours to respond to my
verification requests by email. Interim results will be announced
based on in-person ballots if any candidates have insurmountable
leads, but all proxies will be verified and counted regardless.

Please remember as well that delegating of proxies helps us meet
quorum requirements in the bylaws.

Mark Jenkins
2025 election officer

Who is eligible to be a proxy?  Do we have to find our own, or can you assign one to anyone wanting one?
