Skullspace will hold its 7th Hax festival in May 2026. Hax is our
annual weekend at the hackerspace celebration.
We are seeking talks of interest to a broad hackerspace community, to
be delivered daytime on Saturday May 23rd or Saturday May 30th.
What have you built, broken or about learned recently? We'd like to
hear about it.
Presentations do not need to be about information technology. We've
hosted speakers telling us about their garden hacks, their life hacks,
and how to save wildlife.

Don't have anything to present? That's okay, you have interesting
friends, family and colleagues. Please pass on our invitation to
speak, we really value new voices.
Thanks to our sponsor GlitchSecure, we will be able to once again
offer honoraria for talks.
Talks are accepted on a first come, non-competitive basis without a
deadline until we have a full Saturday schedule.
I'm pleased to announce that Michael Kozakewich will be the lead
co-ordinator of this year's festival:
mkozakewich AT icosidodecahedron DOT com
I will be organizing the talks:
mark AT parit DOT ca
We will be deciding by next week if this festival should be held on
the weekend of May 22nd-24th or 29-31st. Early expressions of interest
in giving a presentation may sway our choice.
Volunteers contributions in the following other areas will be valuable:
* Organizing a Saturday night reception
* Saturday and Sunday daytime hospitality with catering
* Event marketing
* Cleaning
* Recruiting additional sponsors
Please reach out to Michael, myself, our discuss@ email list, the #hax
channel on our Discord, or drop by in person on a Tuesday.
Happy Hacking,
Mark Jenkins
