It's happening!

Skullspace is having its 7th Hax festival.

This year, extended to four days, June 4-7.
https://hax.skullspace.ca/

A whole weekend where you can enjoy the space and our people!

For non-members this is a rare weekend open house, great if you can't
catch our open house Tuesday nights. All events are no cost to attend,
though we always love donations.

Here is a full breakdown of the weekend, your Hax 7.0 guide:

----------

Thursday June 4
Our festival launch, reception and mixer. A community DJ night between
8pm and 2am. Meet DJs from Toronto in town for MEME. RSVP appreciated
and donations solicited at:
https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/skullspace-hax--70

----------

Friday June 5
Thor will have a special festival movie night starting at 7:30pm.

----------

Saturday June 6
7 talks!

Doors at 9:30am

10am I contacted Brazil by radio and set a new record -- Mark Jenkins

11:15am Biohacking with Michael K

12:30pm Punk game design (tabletop) -- Michael N

1:15pm A catered lunch (we hope, TBA)

2:15pm Citizen science and astronomy -- Scott

3:30pm An intro to 3D printing -- Mark C.

4:45pm purple noise: how to train your intern -- Kiki

6pm AI versus I -- Shab

6:45pm -- TBA on-site reception or group pub visit

Plenty of hallway track time in-between talks.

----------

Do you like some variety in your day (not just presentations)? At the
back of the space we will have members supervising and maybe even
working on things.

We have four exhibits lined up:
* Game dev booth
* Rotary encoder repair of a radio receiver
* Diving helmet
* Symon Netbrite LED sign revived

More are welcomed. A science, tech, and art fair for adults. What are
you building or learning? Got new toys? Complete or just started? Come
show it off. Tell us in advance so we can share the word.

------

Like games? So do we.

Come learn about the Pathfinder role playing game between 3:45-6:45pm.

Want to try something else? We have an extensive collection of board
and video games.

Want to host something. Let us know!

-----

Our classroom talk schedule is full, but we always welcome smaller
hands on workshop sessions at the back of our space.

Spontenous? That's okay. But let us know now and we'll *hype it up*!

----------

Sunday June 7 is our chill open house day without anything thing on
the schedule. Want to schedule something? We're wide open starting at
11am.

I (Mark Jenkins) will probably be tinkering with radio gear. This is a
good chance to chat with me as I won't be wearing my talk MC hat.

At 3pm the usual biweekly Sunday routine of Skullspace Smash Series
(Super Smash Bros tournament) starts with folks setting up as early at
2pm.

Happy Hacking!
