Good news to kick off the weekend,

I've finalized and maxed out the presentation lineup for Hax 3.0.
Scroll past the summary for the presenters and titles.

What is Hax? Hax is the Skullspace weekend hackerspace festival where
we celebrate our hackerspace and broad hacker culture. Previous
editions were in October 2016 and October 2020.

Please contact mark AT parit DOT ca to attach yourself to the
following volunteer opportunities:

* Plan an exhibit of something cool to look at for our casual chill
out day Sunday April 3rd. An idea: we have no Ukraine content right
now, recruit some middle or high schooler to do a tri-fold on the
cyberwar (which has both security and information dimensions)

* Put on your gamemaster hat, organize a video (online or in person)
or table-top gaming session for our chill out day on Sunday April 3rd

* Provide friendly meet and greet services in the space and at the
doors. Provide fun times in the lounge for folks stepping away from
the main programs in the classroom. Monitor for the potential of
unruly behavior by our guests. We need at least three people for this
in particular for the 7-10pm music session on Saturday April 2nd.

* Help clean up the space in advance. A final effort is called for on
the evening of Thursday March 31st. On that evening, all tables except
the two adjustable ones will be moved out of the classroom to make
room for chairs and later dancing. The refrigerator also cries for
some tough love right now.

* Promote the festival events online and in real life. Some social
media links will appear on the hax.skullspace.ca website shortly.
Copies of our 17x11" poster are sitting on the board table with a
staple-gun and extra staples. Copies have already been distributed to
the Winnipeg Public Library.

* I could use a master of ceremonies for the 11am-5pm presentation
program on Saturday April 2nd so I'm not doing double-duty running the
broadcast as well

* We might do a keynote / tech rehearsal on 6:45pm-7:30pm Friday April
1st in the form of a panel, "How to re-ignite a hackerspace after a
pandemic". I could use some panelists (known in advance) for this
topic. Just bring your ideas (no commitment to actioning them
required).

* The junk canteen needs restocking. I can drive for such a shopping
occasion, but would appreciate extra humans to help with carrying.

That's all for now. Looking forward to this in *two weeks*!

Happy hacking,
Mark Jenkins
