Good day, You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to the ZEVENET Community Edition.

On the 13th of July, ZEVENET Company was immersed in one company división, one of the members of the board left the company and created its own project, which created issues with the brand usage, for that reason, we decided to change the company name and the product name to the new Brand SKUDONET and here we present the continuity of our previous version. From these lines we just wanted to announce that we will continue working with the same great team that has been working together for more than 10 years, You can read more about us in the following lines:

Now we are pleased to announce the first SKUDONET Version 7.0, our continuity of the product we have been working in with the old brand, This new version Includes the following changes:

New feature:
[system] New Operating system based in Debian 12 Bookworm
The integration of our ADC solution in a new Operating system will offer new features like better hypervisor integration, modern drivers for Networking devices, and much more. This new version is configured by default pointing to our APT repositories at https://repo.skudonet.com but the Debian repositories can be used as well in order to add more packages and adapt the operating system to your needs.

[system] New Kernel 6.1 with support for new Network interface models
The new operating system Debian 12 gives us a new Kernel 6.1, we hope to keep this new kernel for a long time as it includes LTS support.

[iso] UEFI support for the Operating System Installation
We have integrated UEFI support for the ISO, this functionality offers new features in new Bios as fast startup or new functionalities in Hypervisors.

Improvements:
[gui] New brand from ZEVENET to SKUDONET
We have changed the majority of the content in order to stop using the old brand, all the new content and source code have to be referenced to the new brand SKUDONET.

[farms] changed HTTP(S) binary from zproxy to pound, stable and robust.
We have experienced many issues in the past with this proxy integration, We have decided to stop using it and continue with the stable binary used in Enterprise Edition, additionally, we want to stop using the community as beta testers. We will release new functionalities in the near future on this great piece of code.

We will continue making improvements to this new version, many functionalities are coming, such as a new API with better performance, an improved web GUI more responsive, more features currently released in the Enterprise, etc. So can use this thread or a new one in case you want to request more features or you want to report your experience with the usage.
