Ekokylät huomio: Green Phoenix 2024 -kokoontuminen Sveitsissä 27.-31.10. Uusia osallistujia toivotaan mukaan! Green Phoenix on kansainvälisen ekokyläverkoston henkiseen ja sosiaaliseen kestävyyteen keskittyvä kokoontuminen. Kokoontumisessa osallistujien välille muodostuu tiivis yhteys ja yhteisö, joka tarjoaa tukea ja työkaluja oman ekoyhteisön “syvän” kestävyyden kehittämiseen. Kokoontumisen osallistujilta edellytetään sitoutumista Green Phoenix -tapaamisiin myös seuraaviksi vuosiksi: toive on, että uudet osallistujat olisivat mukana vähintään kolme vuotta! Mukaan voivat tulla GEN Europen ja SKEY:n jäsenyhteisöiden edustajat. As a “think-and-feel” tank Green Phoenix aims to bring awareness about a regenerative and sustainable future for humanity and our planet. This year our annual meeting will take place again in Schweibenalp, Switzerland (Schweibenalp Center of Unity) from Sunday, October 27th at 6pm (CEST), to Thursday, October 31st, after lunch. The first evening, on Sunday, is meant to have dinner and start with the opening ceremony and setting the intention. This year's topic is “Balance”: within ourselves, in our communities and within the world. We will work on balance with three main focuses: between the female and the male (archetypal), the youthful and the elder (life phases), global south and global north (eco-political). If needed, one or two open space topics can be added. We are happy to announce that for the first time a special “Next Green Phoenix” program is taking place simultaneously, which means that a group of younger people, aligned to Next GEN will attend and will be financially supported for their stay on Schweibenalp, which will be covered for the participants that feel called by the “Next Green Phoenix”. If you are between 30 to 35 years old, You can choose if you want to participate in the Next GEN/Next Green Phoenix program or in the established Green Phoenix group. Both groups will have similar topics and focuses, thus some sessions will be together, some in separate groups. In the established Green Phoenix we ask for an attendance of at least three years; for the newcomers of Next Green Phoenix: please commit for at least two years. We are aware that this new format is an adventure for all of us and will bring us added joy but will also demand resilience from us! We aim for smooth co-creation, sharing and exploring beautiful and deep tools and practices; while bringing new inspiration to our communities, strengthening the community of communities and building bridges with influential change makers. We aim to offer childminding again this year so that families can attend together, if they wish, and children can stay closer to the process. Please inform us if you bring your children. 
FEASIBILITY, STRUCTURE AND PARTICIPATION Target participants are primarily representatives of established communities in Europe exhibiting GEN-like complexity. Representatives should have extended experience living in community, ideally 5+ years for ages 40 and above, and at least 2-5 years for those under 40. We value continuity of participation (three years/two years) since Green Phoenix represents the community of community and is built upon trust and relationship. We always welcome and include new family members. We have transparent criteria for new communities wishing to join. Group size: The maximum number of participants of each age group is 40, guaranteeing the necessary intimacy to deepen our relationships and continue the kind of group work that best strengthens the community of communities. Who should register or apply: Repeat Participants: The core communities that have participated since 2015 are warmly invited to send the same representatives as in the last 3 years. We invite you to consider bringing along someone younger as well. If you can’t come, please let us know if you will send a replacement. To register, please fill out this form!

Venue and prices: There is no participation fee. The following prices are for full room and board (3 meals included) per day. Schweibenalp is offering its infrastructure at extra friendly prices: · In your own camper or tent 60€ · Multi-bedroom (3-4 persons) 88€ · Double room 97€ (limited availability) · Single room 123€ (limited availability) · People up to 35 years old: 70€ in a multi-bedroom or 30€ in your own tent (end of October only for hard core outdoor freaks).
