Can I localize NoSketch Engine Web UI?

Hi,
yes, you can.
- make a copy of /app/locale/en.json
- rename file to LANGUAGE_ID.json
- translate texts in your new file
- add your language (id, label, labelEn) to the /app/src/core/meta/localization.meta.js

I am not familiar with the repo, but paths I mentioned relate to Crystal (Sketch Engine web interface), which is archived in repo in "noske_files" folder.

First, can you provide us with your name? NoSketch Engine Google group always welcomes new members and is open to anybody interested in NoSketch Engine. However, it is a good habit to introduce yourself, at least to write your name in the emails.

Second, when we (the Sketch Engine team) speak about noSketch Engine, we refer to the official installation package available at https://nlp.fi.muni.cz/trac/noske

The component "crystal-open" contains the folder "locale" with JSON files for localization as my colleague Tomáš mentioned earlier.

@Michal Thank you! However, I'm using the https://github.com/ELTE-DH/NoSketch-Engine-Docker, I found nowhere to edit the file you mentioned. I also post the issue here. Would you please help me have a look?

As I mentioned earlier, we maintain the official installation of NoSkE, available at https://nlp.fi.muni.cz/trac/noske.

Since NoSkE is an open-source project, you can also find forks or branches created from this official NoSkE installation package.

Please wait for a response from the contributors of the version you are using on GitHub.
