Dear all,

as $subj indicates, I have some questions:

1. I remember there was talk of adding the Timeline feature
(https://www.sketchengine.eu/timeline-language-use-over-time/) to
NoSke. Has it been done?
2. In multiple corpora, we have structures "line" and "page". In the
metadata display, they appear exactly in this order, whereas the users
would like to have them in the 'logical' order, i.e. "page" first and
then "line". Is there a way to do it quickly and in a simple way?
Also, how is the order of elements under "Display and count metadata"
determined?
3. Is there any way to - again, quickly and in a simple way - change
the display of attributes? Currently we have only one option, a
/-separated list flat list. My users would prefer, say, a table (on
hover), so I though I'd ask before I go hacking around.

Thank you!

Best wishes,

Slavomír

Dear Slavomír,

Ad 1, if you want to see Timeline feature in your corpus, your corpus has to be annotated with timestamps. Then in its configuration select Diachronic attribute. Once the timestamp attribute is selected, the corpus needs to be recompiled again.
Ad 2, in the configuration, it is also possible to set the order of metadata in Details in Concordance. In the configuration, you need to add SHORTREF and set the order of the metadata. For further details, see https://www.sketchengine.eu/documentation/corpus-configuration-file-all-features/#:~:text=display%20in%20concordances-,SHORTREF,-the%20attribute%20of
The display in Display and count metadata is in alphabetical order. This cannot be changed. Token number comes first because it is denoted as # in the data.

Ad 3, it is possible to view attributes in the concordance using tooltips. In View Options, there is an option Show as tooltips. This way, the attributes will remain in linear order but will not be displayed directly below the text. Tooltips are displayed by hovering over the KWIC. Unfortunately, it is not possible to display the data in a table.

Best regards,
