It's National Board Game Day! Let's Play A Game!

If you are a board game enthusiast, this day is for you! How are you going to celebrate?
Host a game night - Do you have a decently-sized collection of board games? Why not host a board game night on National Board Game Day? Invite your friends over, order a couple of pizzas (or whatever kind of food everyone wants), and play some games!
Check out a game from your local library - The library is a great resource for trying new board games without having to buy them first. Your local library might also host a monthly or weekly game night. Check their schedule and see what they have to offer.
Join a gaming group - Most gaming groups are focused on role-playing games (RPGs), but did you know that you could find a local group of people to play board games with on Facebook and Meetup? If you don't know a lot of people, or your friends just aren't that into board games, finding a local board game group online is a great way to expand your network and explore new games.
Support your Friendly Local Game Store - Many local game stores are small mom-and-pop operations that host game nights and offer titles to play from their own game libraries. In addition to getting out, meeting new people, and playing new games, you also have the added benefit of being able to purchase games you've tried and loved.
These are just a few suggestions for celebrating National Board Game Day, but you don't have to wait for a holiday to do any of these. Get out there and play some board games today!
