
I was pleasantly surprised by our own hidden missives here, having learned from Steve about how the option to disable AI in Firefox is coming soon.
I'd actually found a similar path for myself via a project called Just the Browser. On a desktop, it'll let you disable AI (and a bunch of other cruft) on Firefox, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. It works via a fairly neat method by modifying not the browser, but the computer's group policies that allow it to interface with the browser.
It's not for the technologically timid, but it was fairly straightforward for me (although, admittedly, I did install Linux on a Mattel Juice Box before).
More info on Just the Browser is in this Cybernews blog post. For those who like poking around source code, it's open source and on GitHub. Firefox folks might not want to bother until they see what's possible on February 24, but other web-surfers might enjoy checking it out.
