Months, that is . . . here we are, already at the end of July. I'll be taking some (unpaid, and thus jealously guarded) time off toward the end of August, so the next roundup might be a tad late. Consequently, I'm going to fill you in on everything I think I can get away with!
July delivered two GURPS-related items, one new and one old but newly available:
GURPS Meta-Tech (July 4, 2024; PDF)
GURPS enables a legendary level of character customization. It also provides many catalogs of equipment, realistic and speculative. If you want to pay points instead of dollars for your stuff, that's covered, too – use Signature Gear for standard goods or gadget modifiers to turn traits into devices. And now you can pay dollars rather than points for gear based on character abilities! This supplement presents a detailed system for converting traits into artifacts with cash prices, assigning them standard stats and explaining how they're operated with ordinary skills, complete with a huge range of options for what makes them tick (or zoom, go pew-pew, or sit silently and menacingly).
Pyramid Volume 2 HTML Archive (July 11, 2024; HTML)
Pyramid Volume 1 (1993-1998) was originally in print, so between converting old DTP files and scanning paper, it was straightforward to offer in PDF form. Pyramid Volume 3 (2008-2018) and Pyramid Volume 4 (2021-) were both born that way, and remain available. The missing volume was another matter, as it existed only as messily organized html files. Well, now it's a proper and reasonably orderly collection available on Warehouse 23. You can buy individual years between 1998 and 2008, or the whole shebang as a single package.
Lots of movement occurred here since my last report. I can't think of any noteworthy setbacks, either. (Did I just curse myself? Probably!) Here's the very latest I'm allowed to share:
Moreover, 14 Sekrit Projekts aren't yet at the point where it would be wise to share details, but 5 of them inched closer to the mark. Should any of them cross the line over the coming weeks, I'll let you know in the GURPS thread in my blog one fine Friday morning.
We're still seeking short, rules-light manuscripts that meet the specific needs spelled out on the Warehouse 23 Digital Wish List (updated May 29, 2024) and Warehouse 23 Wish List for GURPS (updated May 29, 2024). Query letters that demonstrate familiarity with our Freelancer FAQ, Submission Guidelines, GURPS formatting guide, and GURPS WYSIWYG template will fare much better than those that do not. Be aware that I will be absent for much of August and that the 2024 and 2025 schedules are mostly settled, so there's no rush . . . if you're interested, take sufficient extra time to get +5 to skill (if you don't know what that means, you might want to brush up on your GURPS as well).
