And Now It's Summer!

If May blazed past, then June was a flash. Once again, we had a lot to do backstage. And once again, we didn't release anything new for GURPS . . . to some extent because we had a lot to do backstage. However, the main holdup continues to be securing enough production time for GURPS, as the relevant resources are currently earmarked for other lines. My understanding is that we should resolve this over the summer.

Upcoming Plans

Since I have no new products to shill, how about I update you on the pipeline? As is my custom, I'll list the everything in the works for GURPS and give you an idea of where each project stands in our process. The order below corresponds to my best guess at the publication sequence – but we live in "interesting times," so the only promises are things with dates attached.

• Matt Riggsby's GURPS Hot Spots: Istanbul, 1453-1703 A.D. (note expanded title) is a clinch for July, Bill Stoddard's GURPS Infinite Worlds: Gotterdammerung is firm for October, and David Pulver's GURPS Guns is still on target for November.
• Odds are decent that one or both of Nathan M.M. Meluvor's GURPS Martial Arts: The Bolognese School and my GURPS Power-Ups 11: Roll Your Own Skills will also see the light of day in 2025, but I cannot be more specific than that.
• Beyond that, I now have five manuscripts – a Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game adventure, GURPS Action 10, GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 24, GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 6, and GURPS Template Toolkit 5 – in the production machine.
• The final drafts of Thomas Pugh's GURPS Banestorm: Whispers of Tohrent and John Shimmin's GURPS Locations: Institute of Metaphysics Library (note title change) are both in the editorial queue while I address more pressing matters.
• GURPS Fantasy Folk: Fishmen left playtesting and is with Anders Starmark to prepare the final draft for the end of the summer.
• Matt Wehmeier's GURPS Infinite Worlds: Psionics entered playtesting, where it shall remain until early July.
• Phil Masters's GURPS Magical Styles: Modern Magic went into peer review, with a suggested end date in late July.
• The playtesting queue now consists of just Alden Loveshade's GURPS Hot Spots: Victorian London.

There are now six, not five, Sekrit Projekts, two of them taking quite a bit of my time – though with 10 volumes past editing (see the first three bullet points above), I think I can justify the distraction for the moment (mainly from the tasks in the fourth bullet point). Nothing has changed with the schedule. I would say that we're good well into the middle of 2026, meaning that if the Warehouse 23 Digital Wish List (updated May 5, 2025) and Warehouse 23 Wish List for GURPS (updated May 5, 2025) inspire you, you have lots of time to refresh your understanding of the Freelancer FAQ, Submission Guidelines, GURPS formatting guide, and GURPS WYSIWYG template before submitting a query. Our broad needs are about the same, too – until I say otherwise, assume that we want rules-light 12- or 21-page supplements, not longer or crunchier items. (If your working relationship with SJ Games goes back decades, then we may be more flexible.)
