Dear solar owners and advocates,

I'm writing to share information about an exciting initiative just getting off the ground that you might find appealing. Despite efforts to impede the clean energy transition, as renewables increasingly out-complete fossil fuels on price, the electricity grid will go green. The question is, will we?

With households accounting for 42% of U.S. carbon emissions, it’s crucial that every Hoosier household understand that when their gas-powered furnaces, water heaters and cars break down, switching to electric is smart financially and otherwise.

Starting the weekend of January 17, 18 and 19 (Sat., Sun. and MLK Day) and continuing on weekends until April 26th, teams of Energy Navigator! canvassers will go door to door in Bloomington to invite neighbors to Energy Navigator! presentations on how they can cut their utility bills by going electric and use rebates to help them do so.

The effort will be satisfying and fun: training and cocoa provided, no experience or expertise required.

The Energy Navigator! program is led by Electrify Indiana, a local volunteer-driven nonprofit, in partnership with the City of Bloomington.  Here is the website www.bloomingtonenergyworks.com

If you are interested in joining in the canvassing effort, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Stacey Decker or hit Reply on this message. We will reach out again soon with information about how to attend or assist at Energy Navigator! presentations.

Thank you for all you do!
