Details on Feb. 28th annual conference for Tri-State Creation Care

Hello, my friends,
Our local nonprofit Tri-State Creation Care’s 2026 annual conference will be the morning of Sat., Feb. 28th. We have outstanding keynote speakers for our event: Janet McCabe, former deputy director of the EPA, letting us know where sustainability issues stand now and how we can move forward; and Steven Rhodes, an Ohio home designer especially trained in energy-efficiency residential construction, who can provide tips on how we can make our own homes/buildings more sustainable. The conference is free and open to all. (See the attached flyer for more specifics.)
The Islamic Center where we’re holding the conference is not far from I-69 and has been recognized as both the "greenest" mosque in North America and among the most "green" U.S. faith congregations of any religion. A tour of the net-zero mosque will be available at noon (CT) at the end of the conference.
Our event also includes free refreshments, about 20 exhibitors and some exceptional door prizes such as 3 stained glass art pieces, 2 birdhouses, an art photographic print, and 7 items helpful in weather emergencies and power outages (one example being a solar-powered, portable wireless charger as described in my second attachment).
Registration for the event and exhibitors’ tables open at 8:30am CT, with the program starting at 9:00. Enter the Islamic Center complex through the north door, which faces towards the Lloyd Expressway (Hwy. 66). The parking lot on that side of the Islamic Center is smaller and we would appreciate if able-bodied attendees would park in the larger south parking lot, allowing older and disabled attendees to use the north lot. A shuttle car will be available from the south parking lot to the north entrance for those who don’t care to walk.
