  1. audio conf recording attached (recorded/edited: suman)
  2. moderator: suman
  3. notes: suman
  4. agenda..
  5. updates on past week task of each member
    1. suman.. (task was) research on open participation (from political science point of view) when contrasting it with secret participation (like present secret voting).. suman is of the view that making citizen responsible for open participation may help rather than leaving trust/secrecy/auditing to election commission etc in secret environment, work with tulasi on aadhaar api / google cloud issues, finding org/teams on how we can access aadhaar api as we may have to become 'aadhaar user agency', or join one
    2. update: didn't spend much time but open(non-secret) ballot/participation is very feasible as it's being done selectively at different places.. like
      1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Voting_Consortium
        1. this is not exactly openness in election ballots, but using open machines and standards and not propriety systems in elections.. like election machine
        2. questions on 2000 us presidential election
        3. 2013 governor of california approved sb 360 open source election system
      2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voting#Open_ballot
        1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landsgemeinde
          1. swiss canton assembly non-secret ballot voting system..
          2. one form of oldest direct democracy still in use..
      3. indian parliament where open response like saying yes/no, or raising hands, etc to decide on some bills, proceedings, are practiced
    3. tulasi..(task was)... resolve google cloud issues, more research on aadhaar api, sovereign app issues
    4. update:
      1. soverign getting stopped.. probably because of not being used
      2. aadhaar issues are there.. raised in groups
      3. linux google cloud vm.. having problems.. tried few things with ibm linux successfully
    5. on this suman responded/suggested.. requested tulasi and all of us to post our actiities.. at sikone 'open-work' group... problems we're facing.. solutions.. etc.. so others can view, respond, join
    6. raza responded to tulasi.. that we to be aware that supreme court case on aadhaar is pending, and before we decide it's good to give a good thought to what these cases are and consequences thereof
    7. raza (past week task).. to provide federation detail for aadhaar, research from raj and his org on democratic participation, data collection from delhi (fb/twitter)
    8. update: contacted many persons and groups, and had a look at jignesh's teams i-t systems that have shown views/data/charts of different type of people and member participation... and asked if tulasi may like to throw more light of what those systems will be
    9. suman requested if he can throw light before tulasi tries same.. and mentioned that 'twitter and facebook' trend, data, profile analysis are cutting edge technologies used by many parties bjp, congress, etc and probably jignesh's group is doing similar.. in this it's possible to do favor/unfavorable event based trend analysis.. eg.. tripura election results are trending in favor of bjp or against can be done by twitter trend analysis by programming, data research, etc models where public twitter posts, profiles, etc referring tripura elections bjp, favored and against words are analysed, and then a result is derived... we had similar aim for india-greens to find positive membership and participation.. and have built basic model, but that needs lots of effort.. we need to do same for 'open-work' project by finding positive participants for this activity
    10. vishal(past week task): to personally talk to tulasi and raza to understand each other; writeup or audio message on his concepts
    11. (suman's notes) vishal send basic steps of his aims and thoughts earlier this week.. suman responded to focus on one of his aim that's closer to 'direct democracy' and work together.. and for that define in detail what his model/aim/plan for 'direct democracy' is.. after discussion all group members, including vishal, can focus on common aims and then focus on planning them in detail and executing that.. once we're successful then only it'll be useful to venture in other aims suggested by him
  6. new member introduction (2 min each): name, professional qualification, skills for group
    1. no new member
  7. discussion, on issues raised in advance and included in agenda.. each issue not more than 3 minutes
    1. all agreed that the group will be publically transparent..
    2. that individual member will not discuss anything that's private, so that it's easy for moderators to publish audio/video without editing
    3. vishal will have access to group proceedings, as they're openly accessible to public, but otherwise would work separately in his aims/models.. this will help this group (open-work) to concentrate our focus and have defined participation and returns.. ie coordinate among members that are actively participating in 'open-work' group activities... at a later time vishal may share his model/plans with this group, and we can as group, or individual members can help each other
  8. all members
    1. (1 min each): expectation from group this week
      1. not discussed because of time constraint
    2. (1 min each) returns to group this week
      1. continue on tasks defined by members
  9. closure with thanks..
  10. follow up communication links
    1. available at 'open work' google group
  11. expected next meet
    1. same time, i.e sunday 9pm
    2. agenda format is expected to be similar
