Problem: As the Chrome browser  auto updates to version 42, Java is no longer supported. ie: you open sis and go to gradebook and it gives you the broken puzzle piece(plug in not installed). This article references the problem which is outside of Shen. (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/04/14/google_java_chrome_42/)

Solutions: DO NOT PROACTIVELY ATTEMPT THIS SOLUTION IT WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE PROBLEM.

#1 - With regards to sis this is fixed once the new module is deployed next year. However, Java will not work with Chrome on any other websites after Sept 2015. From now until September you can fix chrome to still work with sis and Java based sites. To do this:

Or #2 – As much as it pains me to say this, use internet explorer when accessing a java based website.
