For those interested in open wireless mesh networking,
the New America Foundation’s Open Technology Institute
has just announced the Commotion Wireless Project.
There are lots of opportunities to get involved.

There's an Innocentive challenge that posted earlier this week for the USAID, Seeking a Mechanism for Secure Communications During a Crisis.  There are a several interesting references included in the challenge project room,
