Girls basketball in CIF Championship game tonight!
This is a huge, huge deal! In the 14 year history of the school, we have never had a team make it this deep into the playoffs! The semi-final game on Tuesday against the number one seed Warner Springs was an amazing nail-biter that came down to the last half second with SET holding on to a one point win! Join us at the game tonight or cheer us on from afar. Here are the details:

Call for parent board member
Our Board Nominations Panel is searching for parents to nominate to the board as a prospective board member to replace the Parent Board Member position that will be vacated by Niki McGinnis in July, 2025. Our board has tasked the Nominations Panel with specifically finding parents who have a long-term interest in the school since the board's primary focus is on the long-term health of the school. To help narrow the search for parents who will fit that criteria, the Nominations Panel has asked me to reach out to parents who have younger siblings of existing students who plan to attend SET High. This will ensure that the board tenure can last for at least 4 years and will help with that long-term strategizing. I am not aware of everyone who has future SET students so I'm sending this email out to the larger parent community so that we don't miss any potential candidates.
Per our bylaws, all prospective board members are vetted by the Nominations Panel, and are then presented to the board for the final vote. This is a process that was established a few years ago to ensure that there is an outside group comprised of a SET board member, a SET parent, and a SET administrator that vets new and returning board candidates to help broaden the candidate pool and ensure a transparent process.

Congratulations to Isabella for winning the election. We are excited to have her start representing the students on the SET High Board of Directors starting in July.
Spring Soiree Save the Date (Sunday, April 27th, Brunch)

The Spring Soiree is going to be SUNDAY APRIL 27th for BRUNCH at the legendary BELLY UP TAVERN IN SOLANA BEACH!
Save the Date for Beats & Brunch!
Our spring auction fundraising event will be held at the iconic Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on Sunday April 27th! Save the date for this adults-only event and get ready to join us and SET teachers and staff for both live and silent auctions, raffles, a wine and liquor pull and a delicious custom menu curated by our Soiree committee and Belly Up’s chef.
More exciting news - ticket prices will be lower this year! One of our SET parents works for Belly Up and they are being extremely generous with their rates (thank you Belly Up)! In addition, one of our own SET parents is donating their time to be our emcee and auctioneer, which will bring down costs.
This is always a really fun event. Plan to come, you won’t regret it!
