Congratulations to the girls basketball team! Volunteer Opportunity

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

The girls won their playoff game last night in a buzzer beater!  You may not have heard that they tied for first place in the league, won the coin toss that allowed them to go to playoffs, and now have just won their first play-off game.  Up next is Valhalla High School tomorrow (no official time, yet, but it will most likely be 7PM).  The location is here.

Also, the SET PA has organized a volunteer opportunity for our students at the San Diego Food Bank on March 4th.  The details as reported:

Hi SET families!  Below is the information for registering for SET’s volunteer activity at the San Diego Food Bank from 12:30pm – 2:30pm on March 4th.  We have 30 volunteer spaces reserved for SET to assemble food packages at the Miramar warehouse - 9850 Distribution Avenue, San Diego, 92121.  Parents are welcome to sign up as the Food Bank requires a ratio of 1 adult for every 4 children for any volunteer that is 15 or younger.

Your group can sign up for the shift starting on February 4 and ending on February 25.  After this window of time expires, any of your group’s unused volunteer slots will be released to the public.  This is to ensure that we have enough volunteers to complete the tasks for that shift.
