School starts on Monday!

Woot!  Woot!  New students please arrive right at 8:30 AM so that you can avoid that uncomfortable new school feeling.  We have plans for you the whole day that start at 8:30 so we promise to be there for you from 8:30 on, but it can feel a little awkward if you arrive at school early.  I know that this advice might feel like it's the opposite of what you'd want to do if you're new and you want to make a good impression by being on time!  I promise that everything will be fine even if you wind up being a couple of minutes late!

Returning students, there is nothing scheduled for you until 9:30, but we'd like you to come hang out with your friends and tell your summer stories during that first hour of school.

Orientation documents that need to be reviewed and signed

Parents and students, you have some homework over the next few days.  The following orientation documents need to be reviewed and signed.  Please start with the Google Form which will ask you some questions and serve as your acknowledgement signature.  If you need to reference these documents in the future, they can be found on the Parent Portal on the sethigh website.  The direct link is here.

Start here: Acknowledgment Form

And these are the documents to reference while filling out the form.  Note that the Student and Parent Handbook is probably the most important document to familiarize yourself with if you are short on time.

Link to orientation video in case you missed it

This is a must watch (or must skim, at least) video to get all of your questions answered.  Returning families should watch it as well, please.

Old game systems donation request

A message from Mr. Snow:

We are excited to introduce a new class, "History Through Video Games," where students will learn about historical events and cultures through interactive games, and expand our esports program. To support these initiatives, we are seeking donations of old game systems and funding for 5 Nintendo Switch consoles via our DonorsChoose project. These systems will enhance learning, develop teamwork and strategic skills, and make education more engaging. If you'd like to contribute, please donate at DonorsChoose Project. Your support will greatly benefit our students. Thank you!

Thanks everyone!  Looking forward to having everyone back on Monday!

Dr. McCurdy
