Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

• Course scheduling is on track.  Sophomores schedule today at 11:35 AM!
• Winter Break starts on Mon, Dec 22.  Return Tue, Jan 6
• Teacher grades are due on Jan 8.  Report cards will be on Core on Jan 10

Exhibition tonight (Free food! Thanks SET PA!)

This is a reminder about tonight's exhibition.  Note that this exhibition is a gallery walk so you do not need to be there exactly at 5:30.  Your student will be your guide and once you have seen all of the classes, enjoyed some of the common activities, eaten some free dinner (thank you SET PA for providing the food!), and talked to friends, you are welcome to leave.  30 to 45 minutes is a reasonable expectation for the amount of time that you will spend at school, so as long as you are here a little before 6:30, you should be fine. 

Parking will continue to be a pain because of the construction, so please allow extra time to figure that out.  In your frustration, please avoid using the Boujiemana parking lot unless you are going there afterwards for dinner.  Parking at Cabrillo Heights Park or in the neighborhood on the other side of Cabrillo Heights is a good option to just completely avoid the traffic.

Remember that events like these are designed to be student centric with the student explaining their work.  The teachers are happy to chit chat, but the student should be the one doing most of the talking.  If you have questions or concerns about grades or assignments, please schedule a meeting via email with the teacher for an alternate time.  We want to make sure that everyone gets an opportunity to chat with our staff.

Note that we will have staff on campus all afternoon in case students need extra time to prepare for exhibition or won't be able to go home before it starts.

Finals are next Thu and Fri and both are short days

It's almost the end of the Fall Term!  There will be finals for all classes this time because in addition to the Part B finals, there will be Part A finals for the year-long math classes (and other year-long classes like BioTech).  As always, students get out at 12:30 PM on finals days.  Finals for 1st and 2nd are on Thursday, and 3rd, 4th and 5th are on Friday.

9th graders will schedule tomorrow after lunch.  Once everyone has scheduled, we will go back and clean things up.  Please pay attention to the error messages and be pro-active about signing up for classes.  As I said before, Spanish is the only error that you should be ignoring, but only if there is a conflict that prevents you from taking it.  If the appropriate Spanish class fits in your schedule, please take it so that we can be as efficient as possible with filling our Spanish classes.  Thanks!
