No parking during pick-up, please. Our neighbors are leaving nasty voicemails!

Dear Parents and Guardians --

Especially during this construction phase when cars are locked into a single lane, please make sure that you are constantly moving during pick-up.  If your student is not immediately available to get into the car, please park down in the garage or circle around and arrange for an alternate pick-up location.  This has to be frustrating for our families as well, so please be considerate to each other and to the neighboring businesses.  This is particularly frustrating to the neighboring French school that now only has a single road that they can use to pick up their students.  They are getting stuck before they are able to turn left and are apparently having to wait for 30 minutes until our traffic starts moving again.

This will get better when the road work is finished, but even then we still shouldn't be parking in the middle of the road.  I know that you won by getting their first, but let's celebrate this win in the garage!  :)  Remember that the traffic situation is much better shortly after school finishes.  My recommendation is that you wait to do pick-up until 3:45 or do your pick-up at the park or at the Sheraton.  We have staff on campus until 4:45 so it might be a better option to have your student attend help-desk after school and then do a traffic-free pick-up later in the afternoon.
