Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
The report card is in the upper left and it is bright red. You can't miss it!
When we switched to the enhanced COVID precautions in response to the Omicron wave, we have always known that we were rolling the dice with the "all lunch must be eaten outside" rule. I keep forgetting to inform you that our rainy-day contingency is to have a minimum day on those days since we do not serve lunch on minimum days. The main idea is to reduce the number of students who are on campus so that the remaining students can safely eat indoors after school. Do not feel bad if you are unable to accomodate an "emergency" minimum day. We will be fully staffed and will be prepared to handle however many students remain on campus on those days.
We have been lucky so far, and we hope that we can relax the COVID protocols before the rainy season resumes. We're not ready to do so yet, though.
We are still catching the occasional COVID case so we will continue to test students in the mornings. The number of cases is still decreasing and the cases do not appear to be spreading inside of school, so it feels like we are past the worst of this. Fingers crossed that we can have the Omicron wave behind us soon!
Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!
Neil
