SEDS Students and Friends,

I was sent this information from one of our friends who is involved in running the competition.  The objective is stated as:

Develop an architecture and conceptual design for a crew habitation module for an early human deep space mission that will entail extended travel outside Earth‘s protective magnetosphere but will not require descent to and ascent from the surface of a planetary body with a significant gravitational field.

There are a variety of further detailed requirements in the attached pdf about the competition.

There will be monetary prizes and it would be great if a team of SEDS students submits one of the winning designs!  Please distribute to your chapters and other students that may be interested.
