ERIS 2026 - XI European Radio Interferometry School

7 - 11 Sep. 2026 Noto - Sicily (Italy)

1st announcement:

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the XI European Radio Interferometry School (ERIS 2026) will be held on 7-11 September 2026 in Noto, Sicily (Italy).

ERIS 2026, sponsored by the Astrophysics Centre for Multi-messenger Studies in Europe (ACME) and the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), will offer a full week of lectures and practical, hands-on sessions designed to provide a comprehensive overview of radio interferometry. The program will cover fundamental concepts as well as advanced data processing and analysis techniques. Topics will include: (1) calibration and imaging of interferometric data, including continuum, spectral line, and polarization observations; (2) observational techniques using a variety of radio telescope arrays; and (3) strategies for observation planning and proposal preparation.

The school is designed for students and early-career radio astronomers, as well as scientists and engineers from other fields looking to expand their knowledge and skills.

The official website is currently under preparation and will be available in the coming weeks at:

Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for further updates. We look forward to welcoming you to Noto.

Feel free to forward this message to anyone who may be interested.
