Group leader or postdoc in gravitational physics: the Niels Bohr - Villum Fellow
The Niels Bohr International Academy at The Niels Bohr Institute invites expressions of interest for a Group Leader or postdoctoral position, for a period of up to five (3+2) years, with preferred starting date in Fall 2022. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to guide more junior fellows, teach courses at various levels, participate in outreach activities, and organize international meetings. This position is part of the Villum Investigator Grant "Illuminating the dark universe with gravitational waves" (IluGra) for Prof. Vitor Cardoso, starting 2022 and until 2027, which addresses the physics of black holes, including black hole spectroscopy, black hole singularities and that of possible exotic compact objects. It includes the exploration of black holes as engines of discovery, including implications for dark matter physics.
We are looking for exceptional candidates with an outstanding CV, research plan and performance associated with strong-gravity research. A proven track record of research in one of these areas are essential prerequisites. The successful applicant will benefit from Ilugra generous support package for these Fellows.
Candidates should have a PhD in Physics or in related areas (Mathematics, Computer Science).
