Dear colleagues,

We hope you are all doing very well. We are very pleased to share with you that we are organizing the session Exploring the Zoo of Transients in the Era of Big-Data Astronomy (https://www.cospar-assembly.org/admin/session_cospar.php?session=1469) as part of the upcoming COSPAR-26, which will take place from August 1–9, 2026, in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy.

This session is dedicated to presenting the most recent advances in transient astronomy, including gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), fast radio bursts (FRBs), gravitational waves and their electromagnetic counterparts, as well as rapidly evolving optical and X-ray transients. It also encompasses new observational strategies, numerical simulations, and the application of machine learning to the statistical study of these phenomena.

We will have the participation of distinguished international invited speakers, whose names can be found on the event webpage. We would be delighted to invite you to participate with either a poster or an oral presentation, according to your preference.

We are especially interested in encouraging the participation of students and postdocs.
Complete information for abstract submission can be found at:
https://issuu.com/jccospar/docs/call_for_abstracts_2026?fr=sMzY4Njg3MzM2Njg
The submission deadline is February 13, 2026.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us, I will be happy to support you in any way I can. Additionally, please feel free to share this invitation with anyone you think may be interested.
