"War can never bring peace but only disaster and suffering for present and future generations. Any justification for making or supporting war means that we, as citizens of planet Earth, have not given the best of ourselves. The only way to preserve our humanity and ensure peace is through constant dialogue, common understanding, and love. If we, each one of us, do not see this as the only way, we will fail as humans to learn from our mistakes and make this world a better place."
Mirjana Pović (identifies herself as a pacifist, strongly opposing war, militarism, and violence).
