Hola a todos,

¡Espero que estéis descansando todo lo posible!

Apologies for any cross-posting.

I would be grateful if you could share the following two job offers at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC, Granada), to join my team, with potential candidates. Both roles are linked to Spain’s participation in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) and offer exciting prospects for motivated researchers in radio astronomy.

1. Project Scientist in Radio Astronomy - Supporting Spain’s Scientific Preparation with the SKA (IAA-CSIC, Granada)

The team coordinating the Spanish participation in the SKA is seeking a motivated postdoctoral radio astronomer to fill a 2-3-year Project Scientist position (extension possible) to play a key role in connecting and preparing the Spanish community for SKA science, fostering synergies, and supporting national leadership in SKA projects. This role is ideal for researchers active in their own science and passionate about the broader impact of the SKA across different areas of Astrophysics. Up to 50% of the time will be available for the candidate’s own research.

2. SKA Science Postdoctoral Position - HI Galaxy Evolution Studies (IAA-CSIC, Granada, Spain)

The AMIGA group at the IAA-CSIC is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on the study of atomic hydrogen (HI) in galaxies in the context of SKA precursors and pathfinders. The successful candidate will join a team investigating galaxy evolution and environmental effects, with a particular focus on the HI component.
This is a research-focused position, ideal for candidates interested in large-scale surveys, radio interferometry, and the physical processes governing the gas content of galaxies across cosmic time. The position offers a 3–4 year contract (extension possible), providing a stable framework for conducting high-impact research and contributing to international collaborations in preparation for the SKA era. Proven expertise in the scientific analysis of radio interferometric HI observations is required.
